Loretta Keresen is a visual development artist at Walt Disney Animation Studios.
She has a passion for storytelling and crafting worlds and characters who are strong, smart and capable. She loves unexpected color and expressive compositions, and she wants her work to feel nostalgic and delightful. Her primary goal is to create pieces that evoke strong emotion and mood. She graduated in 2015 from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design with a degree in animation and illustration.
Her inspirations include her mother who was an animator and painter, her travels, classic animated films/cartoons, golden age movies, mid-century aesthetics and the many books she grew up with. She believes in challenging herself, progress and growth, that a body of work can always be better and in the power of positive thinking.
